News Article Lela Cocoros named to EILI board 02/005/02 The directors of the EILI Network have voted a new director, Lela Cocoros to the board. The election was held January 30, 2002. "I am pleased to announce that Lela has agreed to join the Board of Directors," said Glenn Meyers, EILI's president. The election of Cocoros brings EILI's board to its initially projected five members. More directors may be added in the future, although no date has been set. Cocoros is cofounder of the strategic communications firm, October Strategies, headquartered in the Denver area. Previously, she was an executive vice-president of corporate communications for Tele-Communications, Inc. (now AT&T Broadband). She also served as a vice-president of corporate communications for NBC in New York City. When at TCI, Cocoros was involved in the launch of the J.C. Sparkman Center for Education, a technology learning laboratory for students and educators. Cocoros is well versed in educational and technology issues. With her background in education, cable television and public affairs issues, Meyers said she will bring considerable business and marketing experience to the EILI Board. back to news |
